You will receive aftercare instructions on how to care for your new skin. Protection from UV exposure is of the utmost importance in order to protect it from forming undesirable pigmentation. Hydration is also essential.

The controlled damage that is an essential part of the treatment is manageable, but skin can appear red and irritated, it may develop pinpoint bleeding that resolves within the hour, and has the potential for some swelling and bruising. By the time you leave our office, any discomfort felt during the procedure will be significantly improved, although the treated area can continue to feel hot or tender for 24 – 48 hours. Each person responds differently to skin rejuvenation with PRP and we will be happy to discuss any questions you have at your consultation.

Blood drawn: You would have a small amount of blood (about 2 to 4 tablespoons) drawn from your arm.

Blood separation: The test tube containing your blood would be placed in a medical device called a centrifuge, which separates your blood into layers. One of these layers contains a high concentration of platelets.

Blood application: Your skincare specialist will apply the blood that contains the high concentration of platelets. The application technique will be discussed with you at the time of your consultation.

Application modalities include infusion using the JetPeel device or by microneedling plasma directly into your skin.
