AFA Clay Peel Facial
Treatments
AFA Clay Peel Facial
Treatment begins with a double cleansing of the skin using ZO Skin Health medical grade products and warm towels. A facial and neck massage is then performed. Step One: The AFA rare earth clay mask is applied to the face in a thin coat and left to dry for approximately 5 minutes. It is then washed off gently with water. This mask helps to draw impurities from the skin and prepares it for the AFA gel peel.
Step Two: The AFA gel peel is then applied in an even layer on the face and left for 1 – 2 minutes. The peel is then rinsed from the skin and appropriate aftercare is provided.
Cost: $150 – 60 minutes
Treatment Details
AFA stands for Amino acid Filaggrin based Antioxidants: a formula that is based on the same type of amino acids found in your body that work naturally to boost the retention of moisture in your skin. The AFA Clay Peel facial uses this unique formula which is loaded with antioxidants that help to exfoliate your skin and retain moisture while causing virtually no irritation. It is a two-step process (clay mask and refreshing peel) that is designed to address aging skin, pigmentation (from sun damage), and enlarged pores.
- Oily skin
- Acne
- Pigmentation irregularities
- Sun damage
- Rosacea and skin sensitivity
- Effective treatment for both men and women
- Greater moisture retention
- Reversed signs of aging with tighter, toned skin
- Visible reduction in lines and wrinkles
- Reduction of hyperpigmentation
- Deep exfoliation without skin irritation
- Overall smoother, softer feeling skin
You may experience some redness in the face for a few hours following your treatment. The AFA Clay Peel has minimal to no downtime which means no excessive peeling will occur after a session unlike most other peels. However, it is normal for some people to experience slight skin shedding due to the accumulation of dead skin cells in a specific area that has been removed and stimulated.
Patients often see results after the first session and unlike other skincare treatments, there is no recovery time associated with AFA Clay Peels. AFA Clay Peels are only available through a medical professional and a series of 4 – 6 treatments every 2 to 3 weeks is usually recommended for best results.
