Treatment Details

Amino Acid Filaggrin chemical peels contain naturally occurring antioxidants and amino acids. They are a perfect option for most skin types. They help your skin retain moisture for a refreshed, renewed, and youthful appearance. AFA chemical peels are effective exfoliants because they cause minimal irritation and sun sensitivity.

By creating a controlled injury, AFA chemical peels create a brighter, more even-toned complexion. The acids used in a chemical peel gently remove the damaged surface layers of the skin to stimulate cell renewal and encourage collagen production, improving skin’s texture and appearance.

The wonderful thing about this type of AFA treatment is that it comes in various strengths: 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60. These numbers refer to the concentration percentage of amino acids in the products. The quality in these AFA peels makes them highly effective because they can be customized to each patient and what their skin needs.

You may experience some redness in the face for a few hours following your treatment. The AFA Antioxidant Peel has minimal to no downtime which means no excessive peeling will occur after a session unlike most other peels. However, it is normal for some people to experience slight skin shedding due to the accumulation of dead skin cells in a specific area that has been removed and stimulated.
AFA antioxidant peels come in different strengths based on the concentration of amino acids in the products. They are highly effective and customizable for each patient’s unique needs. For optimal results, we typically recommend a series of six treatments, spaced one to two weeks apart.
